[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Friends,
Again I had to dig into my folders for this posting. This shot, taken towards the end of last summer was one of the first taken with the Raynox. I had been using auto focus then and I must admit this made me lose quite a few good opportunities before I realized that manual focussing worked better with this converter.
Usually, winters in Malta are rather mild . This year it was even more so, with less rain than expected and temperatures running quite higher than average. It looks like its going to be an early Spring judging by the signs in the countyside - Nut trees already blooming and the odd crown daisey already showing here and there. More subjects to 'capture' soon!
Thank for watching -

Hi Mark,

Fantastic close up, good details, BG and POV.

Even in auto focus mode, your macro of the dragonfly's face is excellent, Mark. Looking forward to seeing still better results when you operate your equipment manually.
The focus on the face, especially the eyes, is spot-on. Depth of field is remarkable and the BG colour suits the subject very well.

Excellent close up Mark.
So much details and colors
Beautiful at all parts
TFS and see you

Hi Mark,

Gracias y saludos... Ricardo

It is not your better macro Mark, but it is an interesting macro by the good details that are perceived mainly of the head of the insect.
I like the caught point of view, agreed with framing chosen for presentation.
The diffuse bottom collaborates with the clarity of the scene.
Thanks and greetings... Ricardo
