[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi everyone,
After may attempts to capture a decent shot of an assassin bug, I finally found one that would stand still for a moment to allow me to frame it. Maybe this specimen was too intent on its prey [target] to care about me. What really strikes me in this creature is the killer's glint in their eyes - it tells you immediately they are hunters.
P.S. I also managed a shot of the result of this hunt, which can be seen in the workshop

Hello Mark!
Nice shot. I'm just wondering whether the fly is so small or the bug so large. Good POV and exposure. Congratulations,

Hi Mark,
You have presented a very effective shot of the rough conditions for survival! This scene is quite charged with atmosphere and you were there to freeze it at the right moment. Very good job and valuable follow-up,
Goran

Hello Mark,
Well worth your effort in tracking this assasin bug. Great pov, composition, and exposure. Also like your workshop. Regards,

Hi Mark,
Nice macro. Well focused and sharp where it must be. Very good detail, light, and color. I like the bug's pose, with outstretched forelegs..The second small OOF "dead ahead" bug's a nice bonus too :)
Well done & TFS!

Saludos... Ricardo

Spectacular presentation of this sequence of 2 images highly instructive.
Good POV with excellent DOF and clarity (mainly in the bigger insect).
A diffuse background collaborates with the clarity of the scene.
An interesting post, without doubts.

Hello Mark,
wonderful macro with good lighting The sharpness is excellent and the colors are great. Very nice composition. Excellent work.

What a glamorous looking assassin bug, Mark!
The image is very well composed from above, giving perfect details and colours of its topside view.
That the prey is about to be devoured is palpable in this well timed shot.
It is a pleasure to go back to the pictures I missed in you portfolio during my long absence.

Witaj Marku!
