This is not a photo from Oriental Asia but another picture from the Skadar Lake National Park in S Montenegro ;>

After two weeks spent in Durmitor Mts and Biogradska Gora NP we came here to see the biggest and the most beautiful lake in Crna Gora.
A plan was very simple: to come here, to find a good place for our camps and to see as much as possible. In our guides we could read that this is really amazing area, with great number of rare and endangered bird species, some interesting reptiles and amphibians, freshwater crabs and shrimps, amazing landscapes, and the hippo! Yes, the hippo! Thanks to the "tropical" conditions one individual of this species was kept in this area when the ZOO in Podgorica was re-building.

Thanks to our very good friend Vlado Pesic from Podgorica we saw Skadar Lake NP better that we expected. He asked his friend and colleague - the boss of the national park to show us lake from the boat (and please tell me that it is not good to be a scientist ;>). It is really nice anventure if you are lucky and if there is no... raining! :)

As you can easy guess as soon as we took a boat it started raining... Of course we still saw some interesting things and species (especially birds) but it was probably only a small percent of this what can be seen during nice weather :)

Anyway, thanks to this stormy weather everything changed in a few minutes: sky, lake, moutains... In every minute colours of nature were more and more intensive...

Once again Balkans surprised us and it was a really nice surprise! :)
It was like to be rather in SE Asia that in Europe!

Do not you belive me? Please see the picture which was taken just a few minutes after rain!

PS. The hippo was not seen here by any of us... ;>

Hello Radomir,
Beautiful landscape in rainy and cloudy day. Very nice composition. The mountain in the background is faded into the mist. The other two thirds of the picture is sharp and crisp clear water and nicely frame with bushes in the foreground. Tfs this fine picture.

Hello Radomir,
This is like a pastel painting, very soft beautiful colours. A good illustration of the calm before the storm. Very nicely captured from a good viewpoint with the bushes framing the lower part. Interesting story too!
Many thanks, Ulla

Hi Radomir,
Sometimes we have to click on the thumbnail to discover the hidden beauty of a picture. Lovely paysage in a very special light, announcing the storm. Excellent point of view.
Best regards

Sometimes rain can make for some really nice pictures and this one is one of those really sutble ones that needs to be looked at twice. I like the composition here, it is very good and the faded mountains work really well. The colours are really different in a good way and the silvery colours in the foreground are really good.

Hi Radomir.
Very expressive and unusually lightened picture. Great combination of light (relatively) FG and impressive dark BG. Color palette and details are wonderful as well as composition, cropping and choice of POV. The reflection of the surface with vegetation is very nice too. My compliments and TFS.

Belle ambiance. Cadrage intéressant.
Bonne journée.

It definitely looks like an amazing area...
Good work , Radomir in terms of photography and content.
And yes...I see the hippo:-)..somewhere.
