Anolis lineatus (Daudin, 1802)
striped anole

Native to Curacao and Aruba in the Netherlands Antilles, Anolis lineatus is not widely distributed in its known introduced range of Suriname. The potential impacts of this species are not well known.
Anolis lineatus has no distinct nuchal or dorsal crest consisting of high, pointed scales; its scales on the upper surface of the snout are smooth (Hoogmoed, 1981). The tail has a serrated crest and the tibia in adult specimens is shorter than the distance between the tip of the snout and the posterior margin of the ear (Hoogmoed, 1981). Body colour is grey with two longitudinal black stripes on the flanks and the dewlap is yellowish-orange with a black centre (Hoogmoed, 1981).

Ciao Sergio,
anche questa č una magnifica immagine con una splendida composizione, una grande nitidezza e dettaglio (come al solito), ottimo POV e bellissimi colori. Dalle foto che ci proponi, queste Antille Olandesi sembrano molto meglio della Valle di Anterselva per quanto riguarda i soggetti da fotografare!

Hello Sergio,
What a wonderful capture of this beautifully colored lizard. I am always fascinated by lizards, I suppose it is because we don't have any here in Ohio. We have salamanders, but no lizards.
I love the fine detail and beautiful natural colors along with the attractive composition.
