[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
They live at al kind of waters, such as disturbed fen, pools, and canals. They come for, at water with much food, as in brackish and acid water. The bank is frequently partially bald. Youthful dragon fly’s pull away at the water side, and they look up for protected places in the meadow, along bunch edges and bunch paths, to forage and rest. The males, pubescent, return to water. They monitor their territory from open bits banks, driftwood etc. they gladly sit on footbridge and on buoy square. They fly rapidly and low above water, but generally near the bank. The position of the sun stipulates his seat and the territory choice. Pubescent females come just to the bank for copulation and for eggs take of. It starts in the air, copulation wheel finish sitting on a bald bit ground. This last of this is about 15 minutes. Female put the eggs of, by beating with its rear on the water mirror. The sticky eggs are separately turned off in the water, frequently in the neighbourhood of algae or water plants, sometimes also on wet sand. The eggs come out after a week or six. The larvae live on the floor of the water in mud and between plant rests. Generally shallow, rapidly warming up water. The life cycle lasts two, to three years. A large part of it takes place in water. Generally they are coming out in large groups, out of the water. This out coming takes place, on bank plants, up to 3 decimetres high. In the beginning of May, up to beginning august, steal the most from them out, with a pick in early June. A male is within ten days sexually mature, and lives afterwards still up to a month. A female is after ten, up to twenty days sexually mature.

Yes this was a special moment for me. I who love those dragonflies. I was fishing and I saw first the female waiting. After a while she was gone and a male arive, whe he left I say suddenly both making a wheel, and yes 4 meter of me they leg there eggs and the do what they have to do. I hope you like the photo also. Very good note, but the picture is not good, you caught them very well, but the quality is very low, I guess it is because an aggressive crop that you made, the edges are not clear and very blurry.

Japp, Not one of your best, that is certain. I really like the POV and the action your captured here though. A great note - TFS!

Jaap, I know what you meant here, and, after all, I agree with Mike (Fisher). To me, it's okay. Maybe, it wouldn't be necessary such an agressive cropping (I checked the workshop), but that's okay to me.

It is a great moment, and I'd like to capture it.

Ik ben absoluut geen specialist in dergelijke macro's maar, ik weet niet goed wat hier aan scheelt, alles schijnt lekker te zijn en toch klopt er iets niet, ik weet het echt niet goed, als het reeds met uw nieuwe camera geweest was, dan zou ik gedacht hebben, Jaap is aan het experimenteren, maar het is nog uw oude camera. Darentegen is uw nota van hoog kwaliteit.

Hi Jaap!
First of all I must say that I tried to capture Dragons many times with my compact Oly 740. I know how hard it is! As Elroyie said quality isn't good. But I love moment you've captured and your very interesting note. Here on TN I think picture with worse quality but with great captured moment and interesting subject/note is worth more than perfect picture without any words. So I gve you 2pts for overall post :-)
