[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

Very nice for a shitfly ;-)!
The focus is perhaps a little soft, but the composition is really good, with an efficient DOF, and well satured colours.
I didn't have the occasion to say it before, but it's a great pleasure to have you back on TN.
You were one of my favourite poster on TE, you guide me on TN, and I'll never thanks you enough.

Hi Jaap
A very good picture, a sligt regret that the DOF is shifted a little bit to the front so that the head of the fly is a bit soft. But composition and light saves it. BTW, Scatophaga is also a predator and often captures other insects to suck them dry...
Good job, we'll watch this space.

Jaap, I guess there's a little mistake here: if this is your first attempt with you new camera, then the data above are not correct; after all, it's written Fujifilm Finepix S7000 - the same you used in other shots.

So, let me ask you: is this your first shot with the Pro 1?

As for the photo, I like composition and colors. Pov is nice too. Very good first try.

Goedemorgen Jaap,
Zeker niet slecht met uw nieuwe camera, en zeker zeer grrot gemaakt van een Madeliefje tot deze foto, Jaap ik ben zeker geen specialist maar ik wil helpen indien mogelijk, vraag; is de focus niet teveel op de bloem dan op de Vlieg? spreek mij aub tegen als dit niet juist mocht zijn.

I see that you have a new camera. I have got the same but I find it very complicated.
