[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A fly is about 7 millimetres long and weighs about 1 27ste gram the body of the fly exists from 3 pieces: the head, the front piece and the rear. The lower part of the rear is yellowish blank, the upper part black chequered; experts can see to the upper part of the front piece what kind of type fly it are. On the side of the front piece are the wings. The house fly belong for this reason to the two wings. On the head sit two large eyes, one muzzle and two sense antennas. To the lower part of the front piece sit six hairy legs. Insects have none budded, but an internal skeleton. The fly cleans itself.



The eye of a fly exists from thousands small eyes. As a result, the fly considers the surroundings as a size mosaic; each eye is a part of it. The picture of a fly is different. How more eyes, how sharper the picture is. Between the eyes are sense antennas. Under the eyes the muzzle stands. The muzzle is in fact a developed lower lip, which has the form of a little drain. The house fly has about 3200 small eyes in each eye, for this reason he is more rapidly than the most insects. They see everything in a sign film, we realise everything in a moving picture.


Over the photo. Yes it is still experimentele shots I made. I have a full archive with fantastic macro photo's but I want to sho you the resuls of this new camera. Thats the reason that I not more then 2 photo's send in, on the moment. On TE I have almost reach 300 photo's and I decide to do it there some calm an. So that I have more time for TN. I hope you like this photo.

Nice huge macro. I like this kind of photo, where we can see all this pollen on the insect. I like the angle too, and the way the flower takes one quarter of the picture. Good composition!

Wonderful macro Jaap! The eyes are so unbelievably RAZORsharp. It's perfect. The colors are superb and I love the pollen which are all over him! :) The POV is great, composition is excellent. TFS!

Perfect macro Jaap! Composition is great same as face to face contact. I like diagonal line of flower and pieces of pollen. Great work!

It's a wonderful macro Jaap. Very good composed and very sharp image. Colors are also great but I think this is not a bee. Those eyes are fly eyes. Hope I'm wrong.
