Erg mooie scherpe foto van dit mannetje platbuik! Mooie kleuren en scherpte op het lichaam. Achtergrond alleen wat rommelig, maar dat heb je niet altijd voor het uitzoeken!
Engelse naam is trouwens Broad-bodied Chaser!

Ik denk wat we bespraken hier duidelijk wordt, schitterend op de kop en dan krijgen wij een mengeling van scherte en blur, maar mocht ik zoiets kunnen zou ik al meer dan tevreden zijn, maar de kleuren zijn uitzonderlijk mooi.

Very nice shot Jaap, great detail and fine composition. I think its harder with the DSLR to get a better macro than with most compacts which have smaller sensors and most times generate huge DOF. May I suggest you set your DSLR on manual focus with manual exposure with f10-f18 aperture and a shutter speed at least more your focal length. Let attached flash balance your exposure. Pull diffuser down on flash head and slightly overexpose. Well MF give it a try. I know the DSLR with that lens can get better quality results and no contest at full resolution. Regards Steve.

What a beautiful macro shot. The light and detail in the eye is superb, some shots like this I've seen on TN, although very detailed, have a blurry looking eye just because the light is insufficient as the patterns in the eye are strange and naturally inclined to look blurred. Hope you understand! This is perfect, the colours are wonderful and DOF is superb. Great shot!

this is wonderful, what an impressive dragonfly. The sharpness is excellent, also the colours, I see, the Tamron works very good together with the 350D ;-)
I've been on holidays for 3 weeks and now I'm in trouble with 3000 shots we made.

The details are nice, clear and sharp.
Good colours, lighting and exposure. DOF is spot on and the POV is spot on. You must have been very close to this D'fly.

Astonishingly sharp, possibly helped by the high contrast colours on the insects body. Excellent composition.
A little too much noise in the background which should be removed before sharpening.
Your note is interesting because it seems that this lens is an excellent macro lens, I'll have to get one ;)
