I have made this superb flower on the Vlietlanden near Vlaardingen. This is the area of Nature Monuments. This is of the layer peat areas which have not settled. This comes because never drainage works have taken place. Photo is handheld made.

Plants (2)3-8 dm tall; stems simple or branched, hairy on the angles and short-pubescent on the sides, the short hairs glandular in the inflorescence. Leaves sessile or short-petioled, the blades ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate or elliptic, 4-13 cm long, 2-5 cm wide, softly pubescent on both surfaces, acute to acuminate, finely crenate-serrate, rounded to truncate or subcordate at the base. Calyx 5-8 mm long, covered with stout eglandular hairs and shorter glandular ones; corolla 9-13 mm long. Jun--Jul. Marshes, wet meadows, ditches, shores, stream banks, and other wet or moist places; common;

Pretty flower this nettle has, exposured with good detail and colour. Sharpness for handheld is good.
Does this nettle sting you if you touch it like out bush stingy nettle here in NZ?

Hallo Bob
I have a theme with the title "My purple obsession". I have added this beautiful flower to that collection. Really a magnetic photo and flower with shades of purple ranging from violet anthers and lilac and lavender on the petals. The hair on the flower, the unopened blossoms and the maroon coloured stem adds a special touch to this photo.TFS.
