[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Great Tit (Parus major) is a passerine bird in the tit family Paridae. It is a widespread and common species throughout Europe and Asia in any sort of woodland. It is resident, and most birds do not migrate.
It is an easy tit to recognise, large in size at 14 cm, with a broad black line (broader in the male) down its otherwise yellow front. The neck and head are black with white cheeks and ear coverts. Upperparts are olive. It has a white wingbar and outer tail feathers. In young birds the black is replaced by brown, and the white by yellow.
It is, like other tits, a vocal bird, and has a large variety of calls, of which the most familiar is a "teacher, teacher", also likened to a squeaky wheelbarrow wheel. Interestingly, the birds from the two south Asian groups of races do not recognise the calls of the temperate Great Tits, and they may be a separate species.

This great tit had just taken a bath in a pond which lies in the “Staelduines bos” forest.
Some other names: koolmees, mésange charbonnière, Kohlmeise, carbonero común, Cinciallegra, Големия синигер, Велика сеница, musvit, Kjøtmeis, Talgoxen

Hi Paula.
What a nice and gentle shot you have captured. Amazing composition, pleasant at high range colour palette, tremendous BG: smooth, nicely coloured and lightened. I like perfect details of the main subject: cute bird and pictorial tree branches. Only I want to touch one point: some softness of the tit bird. I think in your case it would be better to use a tripod (at 300 mm shutter speed 1/180 is not enough fast (if your camera has not in-built stabilization system)). May be your lens at 300 mm is not too sharp. However, I like your wonderful picture very much. My compliments and TFS.

Hello Paula,
Beautiful composition with excellent color, although the focus is a little soft so you lost a bit of detail, all around a good capture though, thanks Paula.

hi paula ; nice captured with nice colours despite a little noisy good composition reagardless well done TFS
best wishes

Hello Paula,
This is a nice capture of this little cute fellow. I like this POV, composition, pose of the bird very much. I think that he moved a little as details seems a little soft to me. 1/180 seconds is a slow shutter speed for a bird, it has to stay very still... This is a beautiful capture anyway with excellent colors. Well done with interesting notes.
