[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The gorilla, the largest of the living primates, is a ground-dwelling omnivore that inhabits the forests of Africa. Gorillas are divided into two species and (still under debate as of 2007) either four or five subspecies. Its DNA is 97%–98% identical to that of a human, and is the next closest living relative to humans after the two chimpanzee species.

Photo taken in Safaripark "Beekse Bergen".
The gorilla photographed here beat the chest several times and broke branches. I didn't show any provocative behavior though; I didn't look the gorilla into the eyes and so forth...
Could it be 'the lens'? Maybe the MarkIII shipment was postponed again in Gorilla country?;-)

ah oui cette image est particulièrement forte. C'est un de mes sujets préférés dans les zoos car ils ont vraiment une expression unique. Côté technique tout est bon comme d'habitude, bravo.
