Most pictures on this site are of beautifull living creatures. But there is an end to everything. The heron found his end some time ago and will step by step be replaced by other players in nature. The young tree took the direct way to grow and the insects are cleaning up the body.

Hendrik, your words well. To the photo there is no point of negativ criticism. Very good picture and composition. Excellent sharpness and colours. Well done.

Death is part of life. This picture makes one curious what happened to the bird. Any suspects ?
A good contrast to the "happy life" pictures (which i also enjoy !)
