Any idea what flowers these are?

According to my expert friend Rob Brown: "Clematis vitalba I think what we call Old mans beard".

Clematis vitalba I think what we call Old mans beard, because of the shaggy seeds that hang on over winter, clothing the shrub/ tree it is climbing over, to the appearance of a tatty shaggy beard.
Nicely seen against that late summer sky TFS

Hi Hendrik!

I've got no idea about ID, but I like your photo! Very blue sky and beautifull flowers on it. Your grey frame is very good for this kind of shot, great work!

Hi Hendrik,
sorry, I also don't know the name - but I like your sunny shot whith the beautiful sky very much. Very good in these cold days, thanks

Very fresh colors and a nice blue sky. It's a pretty contrast in these dark days. Thank you.
