Hi Jan,

your good photo shows Oudemansiella mucida (Schader 1794)Höhnel 1920. It grows on dead wood, especially on Fagus, and its main features are the white colour, the ring on the stipe and the slimy surfaces.

I had some of these fungi growing on a dead tree a couple of weeks back, only they were too high to capture to my satisfaction.

I'm glad to know their identification...

you have shown it well here really capturing it fragileness and whiteness.
