[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's a real pleasure to see this Alpine newt floating in the water. It seems like he can't seem to make up his mind: to surface of to sink down. I caught this newt in a local pond and took it to my aquarium. However I could spend enough time for a nice composition, it isn't easy to find the right flashlight setup. Even in this picture you can see some spots on the wall of my aquarium. Havent' found out yet how to get rid of them in PP.
After two hours I let the (poor) model go....

Superb! How do you get a shot like this? Fantastic colour against the dark background and so sharp!

this is cool! excellent idea, jacob! :-)
to get rid of the spots you could use the "healing spot-tool" in photoshop - i would have done a workshop, but i do not see any or do you mean the grey "dust" on the left and above of him?
anyway, a well composed photo with a great "floating" pose,
nice colors and good use of the flash.
well done & take care, thorsten.

Very nice shot

Surprenant! On a l'impression que la bÍte vole! Belles couleurs

hello Jacob
this is a very good picture and also funny+ it looks like flying on the air+ colours are good
and your water must be very clear to get such a photo.
congratulations

jjo

A very unusual shot, it looks like he is flying. If you hadn't explained in the note, I would have thought he was flying, the image is so clear. I'm not sure about the amount of space around the edges, I can't decide whether more or less would have looked better.

Very cool shot and nice POV. I first thought it was a lizard jumping when looking at the thumbnail. :) Very beautiful lighting and great colors. Very nice.
