Welcome to Trek Nature. Hope you have a pleasant and most educational journey. You have entered with a great close-up of this Ruddy Turnstone. I like the view from the side, not only showing the size of the bird but also a complete profile. This is indeed a very charming bird with an assortment of lovely colours in the plumage. Your camerawork brought all of this out to its best. I also like the detail of the surface on which you have captured this bird. Thanks for sharing and hoping to see more of you soon.

Welcome to TN!
This is a good picture with details on the bird very evident. The exposure has been spot on! More details in the notes section on the species/ how you shot it in any language will help lots of other members.

three things attracted me to this post. First you caught this Ruddy turnstone superbly well, the fine subdued light helps to overcome the harsh contrasts. The shot is sharp and the background is the natural vegetation on a fjell. The composition is perfect, the bird is not in the center, the Golden rule appears more than once. Just great, Heidi. Secondly, I recognized your name as Swiss, the Heidi in the book of Johanna Spyri (sorry for that, no cheap approach intended). Thirdly I see that this is your first presentation on TN. Welcome aboard. And have the guts to comment the picture of others.
Since TN is about expert nature photography I tell you what my first split-second reaction was to the picture: great, but why is the bird taken from the side, and not from upfront or even from slightly behind? Of course that's silly. There is no "standard" shot of birds. That's no critique on your picture!
My best regards to you,
