IMHO compo is not really good with more space to the left and closed image at the head.

Hi James,
i love the pose of the mother - you can tell her belly's full and she's flat out having a post feast snooze! The cub is just a great bonus. Great focus and a wonderfully toned subtle background. I'm constantly amazed at the quality of your shots from those Zodiacs.

Hello James,
Lovely shot of mom and cub.
I like the way you cropped this image very much because in this case attention is more on the feet of the mother bear while normally one would make the crop on the head less tight.
Exposure, DOF and sharpness are spot on.

Technically you coped partially with specular highlights .
The noisy (not a lot) background could be dealt with easily through editing.

Hello James,
WOnderful capture of Mum and babe. I like the way she's resting flat on her tummy with her big feet stretched out looking very relaxed. The cub is nicely snuggled up too. I like the pebbles in the foreground and the beautifully coloured background.

I love it! I agree - the pose is spectacular even with seeing the cub's face. He looks so comfortable snuggled against his mother. And she looks so content. A beautiful touching capture. Fantastic whites!

This is beautiful, but oh so dangerous. Try to come closer and you will be eaten by these kind polarbears. And a Zodiac is not the most safe place. POV and DOF are oké. Compo could be better, but that is not a real remark (-: Anyway James Weldone. Regards and TFS Bob

Hi James,
A very nice photo of both mom and cub. The OOF rocky background is a very nice touch to this image as most the time you almost always see images of white snowy backgrounds with these beautiful bears. :)

Lovely atmosphere.

A slight exposure bias might have helped to capture more details in the fur. But if the crop is large there is no way you could have got more details.

Ideally the bears would have been uncentered to the left.
