Waiting, that's something what almost all the nature does right now... waiting for better times. If you go to the forest everything will be quiet and still, even the water doesn't move any more...

These are Gostyninskie Lakes - an area in Central Poland with many small postglacial lakes and ponds - still existing but quickly diminishing remnants of melted glacier from the last ice age, all entwined by the picturesque Skrwa Lewa River. You can find a lot of postglacial geomorphological features there, but also the living nature is rich and interesting. In the autumn/winter most of it is hidden but even what's left is worth to praise...

HI Michal, you are showing us a beautiful part of Poland in the middle of winter. Yes, it does look very cold, freezing in fact. I first thought I would like to brighten it up, but no, this is as it really is, and don't change it.
Well captured, thank you.

Very, very dark mood! I like POV, mysterious silhouettes of 'reeds' and forest. Nature is waiting and I'm waiting to! For spring. I'm sorry that I'm not bear ;-)

Michal bonjour, splendid landscape, colors of grass are gorgeous. Good DOF. Atmosphere with exact reproduction of colors. Congratulations Didier.

Hi Michal,
A very dark and somber looking landscape shot. It does look cold! Beautiful colors and textures in the grasses. The detail and clarity are excellent. I'll stick with my warm beach sunsets!

Beautifull and moody picture Michal. I like the composition of the grassy patches in the image and the patch of light in the back. Very nice!

Fantastic image, with great lighting, colour and detail....

Hi! Michal,
This is a wonderfull scene which is well composed with natural colour balance. Did you use any fill in flash as the foreground has a strange light to it. I felt the scenes lighting kept my eye in the foreground and did not encourage me inward. I did a WS to re-direct the eye and encourge the viewer into this lovely wood. Thank you for sharing this.
