November. I's still a cluster of mushrooms that grow on the trunks, this time living trees. I do not know these mushrooms and my attempt to identify the fungi using the atlas failed. Because I know only a few kinds of edible mushrooms is a collection with just limited to them. I am not a"sapper".

The mushroom is beautiful and shiny just like it was being oiled for the shot. Beautiful details and you have framed the shot well between the trunks.

Hello Lucja,
excellent capture of this fungi. The shines and bright colours really catches the eyes. I like the sharpness you composed and the real surroundings between the tree trunks.

Witaj Lucja,
Although the colors are nice, there are noise and focus problems with the pic. I mean focus is soft, the main subject (the cluster of fungi) seems a bit blurred while the background noise is very strong. About the ID I have to disagree with Gert. Gymnopilus junonius (Fr.) P.D. Orton (= Gymnopilus spectabilis (Fr.) Kühner & Romagn.) is much different in size and cap texture (dry and a bit scaly of G. junonius not slimy as your photo shows). Your image shows very typical specimens of Flammulina velutipes (Curtis) Singer. Please check out your fungi atlas, I'm sure you find this species, because it's very common from November to March (except for the very frosty days) on the whole Northern hemisphere, mostly growing on willow (Salix spp.), alder (Alnus spp.), poplar (Populus spp.) and other deciduous softwood.
