Late post today, just came back from long trip. Today I wanted to share a photograph of nice looking, red beetle called Lily leaf beetle (Lilioceris lilii), uncommon to see them on Daisy flowers. Picture taken in garden, full size photograph.

Some info about "daisy":

It is thought that the name "daisy" is a corruption of "day's eye", because the whole head closes at night and opens in the morning. Chaucer called it "eye of the day".

Daisy is also a common girl's name and is a nickname for girls named Margaret.

Hej,
Piękna Poskrzypka liliowa i piękne zdjęcie. Kompozycja, kolory i sam obiekt uzupełniają sie w sposób niemalże doskonały. Widać, że chrząszcz był w ruchu i "przebierał" łapkami ;-) co nie zmniejsza jego wartości.
Serdecznie pozdrawiam i życzę dalszych dobrych "łowów"

Adrian, this image of a Beetle is so sharp and crisp it has a third dimension to it.

Hello Adrian,
We normally get this bright Beetle on our Lilies but the drought seems to have been too much for them so we have none at all now! This is a brilliant macro showing it very sharply and in lovely colours. A very fine composition too.
