Pieris brassicae - Bielinek kapustnik (Linnaeus, 1758)


Skrzydło przednie z czarną plamą wierzchołkową sięgającą w dół do pierwszej żyłki kubitalnej. U samicy na wierzchu skrzydła dwie czarne plamki. Rozpiętość skrzydeł: 52 - 58 mm
Motyle żywią się nektarem kwiatów, szczególnie chętnie odwiedzają kwiaty czerwone do niebieskofioletowych.
Zimują poczwarki przyczepione nitką, głową do góry.
Gąsienice żerują gromadnie na roślinach krzyżowych
Samica składa 200-300 żółtopomarańczowych jaj, przeważnie na dolnej stronie liści.

Hello Alina,
well selected and great depth of field to show both, the butterfly and the flower
with excellent sharpness and brilliance. Point of view and display window are also perfect resulting
in an attractive presentation. This is further supported by the beautiful and well managed light.

Hello Alina,

The light passing through the insect's wings looks great. The image is very sharp showing excelent details of butterfly's body and wings. Flower insect is sitting on is also sharply shown. The blurry background enhaces the sharpness main subject is shown with.
