[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I spend in Przedborski Landscape Park only 3 days but I managed to photograph some interesting animals. Today a species that is quite rare and not so often presented on TN – Heteropterus morpheus You can see the habitat in my WS here

I want to dedicate this shot to Ivan (Argus)

Heteropterus morpheus
Family: Hesperidae

Wing span: 32-36mm
Caterpillars host plants: Calamagrostis canescens, Molinia caerulea, Phragmites australis
Distribution: from Pyrenees mountains through central and eastern Europe to Siberia and eastern borders of Russia and Korea.
Habitat: peatbogs, wet meadows
Flight period: VI-VIII one generation

Thank you very much indeed!
Not only for the dedication but also that you took such a fine macro of a species that I would very much like to photograph myself.
As you say H. morpheus is rare: it disappeared from Denmark in the 70's and has never been a part of the Swedish lepidoptera and I have never seen it in real life.
So thanks for this sharp capture taken from an ideal POV against a great OOF natural contrasting BG.

Hi Krzysztof. It looks as if it was a worth while 3 days. This is a nice dediction to Ivan who helps us with IDs so often. I could safley say i have never seen this Heteropterus morpheus before so thanks for posting . Your side view shows its wing markings with fine detail and bright colours. Well done TFS.
