*This picture is for Felipe of course, man who loves every fungi and takes best pictures of this subject!

As you know, last weekend we spended in small village called Ojcow which is part of Ojcow National Park. Beautifull place full of great landscapes of white rocks, green forests and streams. We lived in old water mill, great 'ancient' place. I took many pictures of mill itself and its hardware. Very friendly people, real village's views - cows, chickens and... yes, in the saturday's morning I walked around and spotted these fungi! I immediately thought about Felipe - wow, he would be delightfull ;-) So I took my cam and try to do as good shots as he usually do. By the way - these fungi growed up on... pile of manure ;-) I was really brave to take macro in such condition ;-) But I think it was worth my effort. Why this title? I took pictures about 8:00 AM and when I walked there two or three hours later fungi dissapeared, wasted away.

I hope you enjoy this little story and picture :-)

Great picture.
I like the furry edges on the fungi.
Great depth of feild.
I love the way you have included 3 fungi in the picture, all at different stages.

Top marks Greg! An excellent shot of these Coprinus sp. (Inkcaps). They are very common mushrooms but can make excellent subjects because of their distinctive gills.
Fantastic clarity here, and great lighting and DOF.
Jolly super Greg! Jolly,Jolly super!

Fajne foto, Grzegorzu. Tak jakby światełko specjalnie położyło się na ten kapelusz - reszta jest tłem. Dobra ostrość.
Pozdr. Al.

Hi Greg, yes jolly good story and picture. I love these fairy skirts on the fungi, and you show 3 different ones too. The light shining on them is superb and so are their sharp details. Very well done. Or as Steve says: Jolly super Greg! Jolly,Jolly super! I think he likes them too!

Wonderful composition Greg. The light on the fungi make it look like it is make of silver. Wonderful effect. Well done. Thanks.

I was in Ojcow last year with my friend.
Beautiful place, especially the white rocks and dark, beech forests.
As for the shot - on my neighbour field you can see simillar views. Don't have to go to Ojcow ;-)
Great shot with "special" mood.

The fungi is very beautiful with its shiny shades.

Nice photo Greg, I like the perfect composition, superb sharpness and contrast.

Hello Greg, Great clarity, sharpness, light and details seen in your fungi top. Very well composed - Very well done! PT P.S. Hope the camera doesn't stink too bad...

What a lovely light you got in this shot. The shining surface on the inkcaps, gave you a fast exposure that gave a cool moody scenary, and look at that DOF with only F:5.2. You where in the magical distance. A great work.
I am very happy you dedicated this to me, thanks very much my friend but what I like most is that you have the fungi fever :D
I am sure I will see wonderful shots like this one, this season. Best Wishes, Felipe.
