From Polish Red Book (LR) - Large Copper (Lycaena dispar).

I founded few members (males and females) of this specie in Lodz Botanic Garden. Looks like they've got small but stable population there. This is male.

The Large Copper (Lycaena dispar) is a European butterfly of the family Lycaenidae. The British subspecies of this butterfly (dispar) has been extinct for over 144 years (since 1864). Most of our knowledge of its life cycle and ecology comes from studies of the similar subspecies (batavus or batava) found in The Netherlands. The species can be identified by the silvery hindwing undersides, from the large specimens of the related, more common, drier habitat species Lycaena virgaureae and Lycaena hippothoe.

Another great finding of yours from that Botanical Garden that seems to contain loads of cool animals of all kinds.
This is a lovely shot of this Lycaena dispar in this very good natural lighting and presented from a great, side POV.
The details are pin sharp and the DOF you chose is spot-on to find a great balance between focus on the whole butterfly and smooth BG.

A great capture of the male of this Red-listed species, the large Copper. Amazing that you have them in your local botanical gdns.
Excellent almost total sharp capture from a nice POV that show the feaures of both surfaces of the wings with fine natural colurs against a good clean BG.
