This is great example of magic things that can be created by cold night, sunshine and some water.

I knew from weather forecast that there should be mist today morning, so I got up before sunrise and went on the meadows to take some photos.

The views were wanderful. It's really amazing how the mist can change your well known surroundings into something so strange and beautiful, even magical I would say.
I have some photos of misty landscapes, but today I post this shot - just a simple flower and spiders web covered with dew.

Mist and dew are actually the same thing - just a little droplets of water.

Mist and dew appear in the morning or evening. After a warm day there is much moisture in the air. If the following night will be cold the moisture will condens creting the little droplets on colled surfaces (dew) or pale curtains just over the ground (mist).

While mist can entirely change the well known places (often into something scary and mysterious), the dew is able to make things beautiful.
Just a simple spiders web will never look so great as in the morning, covered with litlle, fragile gems.

In ancient times dew was thought to be something special. It was seen as sacred and magical.

There is an ancient holiday known as May Day or Beltane.
At this time young women all over the British Isles rise at dawn to wash their faces in dew (dew from oak and rowan trees is said to be particularly well-suited). It was and is believed doing so would enhance a woman's beauty and health in the coming year, and if she uttered an appropriate charm while doing it, she might also meet her future husband in the coming year.
It's quite strange but very simillar belief heve been known in Poland. It it also said that it's very healthy to walk, early in the morning, without shoes.

The photo have been taken just after the sunrise. I changed white balance mode in the camara to get warm colours, but they aren't very different from natural.

Unbelievable! It's unbelievable that this is real! It's so beautiful. It looks like a giant neckless with pearls. Wonderful. Well seen and well captured Monika. imo a slightly longer dof would have been better. It's a minor nit though as the photo is stunning. Very well done & TFS!
