Feature
My two differently coloured seasonal forms. With butterflies of spring generation the top of wings is orange-red from black stains. At summer black from and wide, whitish sweatbands folded from stains thin, rust sweatbands. The bottom of wings from checked, bright drawing.

Occurrence
It steps out on edges of forests, glades, and waste lands.

Lifestyle
Very active butterfly, feeds on flowers. The female sticks green, cylindrical eggs on top of the other in the form of "towers" underneath the leaves of nettles.

Attention
It spends winter in the form of the chrysalis

Hi Roma.
I almost do not visit city and TN this season and I have missed the whole series of your wonderful photos. It is a pity. Yu have pictured this cute butterfly at an impressive POV and wingspread. I also like fine diagonal composition of the image and very nice and pleasantly looking colours. My warm regards and TFS.
