[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
More then one year of my TN participation passed away. Late autumn is here again. Almost year ago, I sended to TN few pictures with trees, mist and sunlight. This year I was waiting long time to take similiar picture. And here it is - fresh one, taken two days ago during my morning walk in Poniatowski Park.

Yesterday I was sitting at home, alone. There was darkness out of my window, thousands of lights in rooms on my housing estate, light which looked like flames. Invisible hands spreaded mist which became more dense in every second. Calm, dark, misty evening. Crescent high in the sky. Horror mood.

So I made myself cup of hot tea, sat down and turned my computer on. Perfect moment for some work with image which you can see above. I was listening new, excellent music. New Schiller's album called 'Tag und Nacht' made even more for that moment mood then crescent and mist. After almost two hours of hard work I was finally happy with result.

This picture is essence of Polish late autumn. Mysterious, cold, dark, full of thoughts about werewolves or vampires, misty, full of smells of rotten leaves and wet forest, beautifull. Like scenography for 'Sleepy Hollow' movie.

I really like this picture and I hope you'll also like it!

I really like this picture too Greg! Yes, very vampire-ish!! I think I can just see the hoofs of the headless rider's horse just disappearing.
Beautiful misty atmosphere, the tonings are just perfect for this shot, and I especially love your frame - spot on mate!

Hello Greg, I like your picture but I love the spring with his fresh colours.
As usual an excellent picture and note. Your photo shows however very well the autumn. November is a depressive month. Well done my friend. Thanks for posting.

beautiful atmosphere :o)
I like it very much !

Hi Greg,
An excellent composition. Very moody feel to this shot. The secenery may seem bland and dreary, but it has a beauty all its own.

This shot is "heavy" with mood Greg. A big part of photography that is often overlooked is the ability to write..and give the viewer the ability to see your photo as you do..YOU'VE DONE A GREAT JOB! I'm sitting in your chair and I see this shot through your eyes :-)
Very well done my friend.

Hi Greg,
Its a lovely light you have caught. The composition and POV ar very good. The mist are also very nice.
Vrey well done, my friend.

Grzegorz, this one has an excellent mood.

Great composition to show us this magical environment.

Yeah you title it just right, I'm seeing the legend of sleepy hollow's headless horseman riding down this road. Fantastic shot! Paul :)

Yep, Greg, thats a very moody capture. Composition is perfect and the framing well suited. Very good work indeed.

Nice mysterious shot Greg
Sorry it's a rushed visit tonight.

Personal assessment of the photo: excellent. I imagine Shadow walking towards us in the middle of the road with a dead bird in his mouth, of course ;-)
Capacity of evocation in me: very very strong.
Strong visual impact.
Aptness of the photo for the site: excellent.
Personal assessment of the note: as I like them at their best: personal and evocative.
Thank you very much my friend Greg.

Hello Greg!
Wonderful work. It's look like a scane from horror film.I like composition a lot.TFS...:-)

I read about Polish folk beliefs. Autumn was always time of ghosts, souls of death people wandering among fields, in forests and walking on the roads. The mist was a sign the ghosts are among living. Thats why people always feel strange in a dense mist.
I think your beautiful photo would've been great illustration for that book.
I like it very much.

Hi Greg,

I missed a lot of your posts ... so where to start?? This one is great! It really reminds me of that movie with Johnny Depp, what's it called ... Sleepy Hollow. Fantastic, mysterious picture. Well done & TFS!
