Just missed category candidate today or recipe how to fail great opportunity. I was walking via meadow and suddenly spotted something shinning. I went closer, but nothing was there. I found only pile of soil made by mole. After closer examination from different angles I saw sea of diamonds :-) Small spider's web was placed around pile all covered with dew. Sun shone in every drop and made great light spectacle. I started to photograph. Believe me - I tried really hard with different angles, speeds and f-stops. I took about twenty photos. Later, I saw in my monitor that all pictures are bad or very bad. I have no idea why. Shallow DOF, blurred FG, focus in space. I chose best picture to show you how beautifull moment it was. By the way, poor spider is sitting in upper right corner.

That is so beautiful ! I like to go out in the morning, when there is dew on everything, or after the rain. Water drops always look fantastic on pictures. This is really a wonderful shot, I have never seen so many drops on a spiderweb. I'm glad you posted it.

Dosyc ciekawie to wyszlo.

Hello Greg,
On the thumbnail it looks like a picture of sea sand ;-) The bigger size looks much better! These is a lovely discovery and the picture isn't that bad at all. All these dropets look superb and the funnel spider is a great bonus.

Congrats Greg, this is another excellent picture from you. Excellent POV, great sharpness, details and very nice colours. This is a brilliant composition. Thank you.
