This time I would like to present rather rare moth - Orgyia recens. It's very interesting species. In Poland it occurs only in East part of the country. It's quite wild part of Poland - no industry, many lakes and forests. It's very good place to find many interesting species.
The females of this species are wingless, the males are "normal" - the wingspan is about 30 mm. I've also some pictures of wingless female - I'll post it in few next days I think. The adults you can find between June and September in parks, mixed forests and scrubs.
The caterpilars can be found on different trees and bushes like Salix, Betula, Alnus, Crataegus etc. |

Salut Chris
What an interesting moth. Difficult to photograph I suspect. Photo could be a little sharper I think but I can see well the antenae. Interesting note too.
Thanks for sharing.
