Jose, I'm thrilled to have you as a neighbour on the gallery today, especially when you have returned here after a long break.
The Heron in your picture looks elegant in its stride. The dark BG highlights the bird illuminated by the ambient light. The focus is perfect and the details on the bird exceptionally clear.

Great pose; and this image is ALMOST noiseless!!!
Great eye contact too.
Perhaps the exposure of f/8, 1/1250 could have benefitted this image.
It's a bit tooooo dark; the red mud flats, its hunting grounds, have become totally obscured 'cause of the 1/4000.
None the less this image deserves 2 points and a "smilie".

Yes, a bit on the dark side but it has an artistic quality about it that a lighter image might not have had. Beautiful detail and a real pleasure to view.

The light in the early morning is very beautiful. The light is exactly on the right places. Excellent sharpness, details and composition. Even the dark background is very beautiful.
