|This pyramidal orchid is reaching the end of its time. It's also the end of the time of the orchids here in this area of the Algarve, the southern part of Portugal. The next orchid, Spiranthes spiralis, only in october. |
The pyramidal orchid, Anacamptis pyramidalis, is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Genus Anacamptis of the family Orchidaceae. The scientific name Anacamptis derives from Greek ανακάμτειν 'anakamptein' meaning 'bend forward', while the Latin name pyramidalis refers to the pyramidal form of the inflorescence.

Nice light and composition. A bit soft (not quite sharp enough), maybe due to a slight breeze?
An interesting orchid species.

Attractive macro of this orchid in fine sharpness and beautiful natural colours. Taken from a nice POV with a good background.
Agréable valorisation du sujet.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
