Hi,
Who can help me identifying this animal? I don't even know it name in portuguese...
But I find very interesting what it was doing: he was in a nettle leaf "sewing" it to close it.
Thanks,
Aida

Update: Now I know :) this animal name:
Caterpillar - English
Taturana - Brazilian Portuguese
Lagarta - Portuguese

Thanks for your help,
Aida

Hello Aida,
You are right, this is a larva of Lepidoptera species (= catepillar). I believe this is some species of Nymphalidae but it should be confirm by any of colleagues specializing in butterflies :)
Best regards,
Radomir

Hello Aida,
Very nice colors you have here. I liked the composition and the framing too. The black BG really suits the image.

Hello Aida,
I think this is a young caterpillar of the peacock butterfly
- Nymphalis io
- family: Nymphalidae
In the later stages, caterpillars of Nymphalis io are dark coloured, black with small white dots.
Best wishes, Peter

Hello Aida,

I'd make it a caterpillar. Nice colours on it. I think you could safely lose some leaf in the compo... Tfs. Greets, Jay
