Endemic Flora of Madeira

Orquídea da Serra.

Herbaceous perennial, 20-80 cm in height, whit palmate tubercles. Conical to cylindrical inflorescence, whit 10-50 flowers. Comunt plant which inhabits the Laurisilva, from altititudes of 500-1100 (-1500)m.

Hi Isabel,

Beautiful flower! Exposure, color and focus are excellent. Perhaps composition could have been better. Closer view to get the details of individual flowers or a fuller view of the inflorescence may have produced an even better picture, I think. If you have more pictures from Madeira please post.

Efectivamente, y tiene muchas similitudes. Estuve en Madeira a principios de este año y me encantó, tanto el paisaje, como la flora, la comida... un sitio maravilloso. Abrazo Isabel.
