Coruja-das-torres, Barn Owl (Tyto alba)

Hello TN Friends!
Today I post a pic of this owl with a mouse taken from the car...
At this time the wet lands of the Tejo estuary are full of them... for portraits is the perfect time... but portraits are no longer a challenge. We have to go & go and wait for something different. Some time it happens...

More info about the species:

Hope You like it and have a good weekend!

Boa noite Jose,
Wonderful presentation of this Barn Owl. Excellent sharpness, details and beautiful colours. The use of flash was great here, despite the red eyes.
Enjoy the weekend,
Peter

Hello Jose,
A great shot of this gorgeous Barn Owl with it's prey. In my opinion this particular species is one of the most attractive types of owls in the world. I love their beautifully marked feathers and heart shaped face.
To capture it in such a fine pose and also with a mouse is awesome. Wonderful use of flash to bring out detail and vivid colors. One tiny nit is the red eyes, which can easily be removed. Well done!!
Ron
