Details about merops apiaster on my previous posts... :-)

What I find really sad is that these birds habitat is shrinking... As you know these birds are nesting colonially in sandy banks. The place were I use to find these birds is suffering by mans greed... Sand exploitation, stock-raising... It is really sad... Year after year they are less...

Hallo my friend and neighbor ;)
How nice is to see such a pleasant shot with fine balanced symmetry and brilliant simplicity! As usually the detail is good and the colors warm and inviting! Maybe just a pinch of sharpness can add more tasty look to this recipe! Bravo!

George Veltchev

Szia Csabi!
Ha egy szóval kéne jellemeznem: fantasztikus! Azért megpróbálom többel is.

Saludos Csaba: Josep Ignasi.

Hi Csaba,
Fantastic image. It's amazing you managed to catch the two beutiful birds in such a positon. Nicely focused and the backgroud works to.

The only downside to photoing and loving wildlife is seeing habitat and wonderful species being lost. I live in an area that is basically flat farmland. It's used to be fabulous boreal forest, I have to go further and further north every year to find wildernes. Very sad.
Denis.
