|WHITE-TAILED EAGLE (DANUBE DELTA)|
BECAUSE THIS BIRD WAS FLYING VERY FAR FROM OUR BOAT
I MADE A COLLAGE WITH SOME IMAGES WITH THE BIRD IN FLIGHT....
The white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla), also known as the ern, erne, gray eagle, Eurasian sea eagle and white-tailed sea-eagle, is a large bird of prey in the family Accipitridae which includes other raptors such as hawks, kites, and harriers. They are found in Eurasia, near large bodies of open water with an abundant food supply and old-growth trees for nesting. They are considered a close cousin of the bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus).
he white-tailed eagle is a very large bird. It measures 66–94 cm (26–37 in) in length with a 1.78–2.45 m (5.8–8.0 ft) wingspan.
During the period 1800-1970, white-tailed eagles in most of Europe underwent dramatic declines and became extinct in many regions of western, central and southern Europe.
Since the 1980s, the European white-tailed eagle population has recovered steadily and is spreading back westward. It has today recolonised several traditional breeding areas in Europe.

Great idea to show us the different wing strokes through a collage. Focus appears sharp and you made nice eye contact. A beautiful bird indeed!

Hi Marius, great to do this collage,we can see 4 different wings position, another magnificent in flight capture and the sharpness is still excellent despite the distance. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano
Superb seriesof this white tailed eagle in full flight. I was lucky to be able to observe one of these magnificent birds in Scottland earlier this year, but was unable to photograph it.
have a great day
