Yes...i'm afraid i have to resort to another archive photo is lack of anything new :(

This fact actually frustrating really, since i'm so eager to try my new equipment, but i can't get out of town much while in town there aren't too many subject to focus on.

I remember that in spring or summer, i managed to find some very nice subject here in town, on the banks of the river that passes through, among which this Banded Demoiselle male or Calopteryx splendens.

I know i've posted this species quite a lot, but i was really lucky to get some nice shots of it is all sorts of places and conditions. Here, for example, i really liked the smooth BG the water gave me. I used the fill-in flash of the camera here in order to cut down on the shadows and illuminate the subject from this angle, too.

Hope you'll like it :)

Hello Horia,
Excellent portrait of a male C. Splendens, looking good on its perch against the watery BG. Fine lighting and technical qualities, but I understand your frustration in not being able to get out into the countryside and use your new equipment.
This species lends itself to be shown many times on TN!
Hope you have the chance to get out into nature soon!
Best wishes, Ivan

Dear Horia,
You are right, this is another Odonata picture. But so what? Is it wrong to present more than one picture of the some species if all photos are have very good quality? I DO NOT THINK SO! :>
I believe that to take this picture was not easy, especially that these species do not like human activity next to it :)
Very nice pose (I think a pose of male waiting for females), good colours, sharpness and note (especially good to see picture data).
Best regards from Lodz,

Hello Horia
This is a stunningly sharp image from a camera that I owned and foolishly sold to upgrade to a canon slr...You have really demonstrated its capabilites perfectly and I look forward to seeing your pictures from your new kit..I know that if you can use the s2 so proficiently then theres some stunning pictures to come from your new kit..I hope you get a window to get out of town and share with us your new pictures.
TFS and best Regards

Hi Horia,
What a beautiful capture of this banded damselfly. Razor sharp focus with an excellent composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Archives were my jump start. I see you appreciate this pose in slightly diagonal. I do as well. It breaks the monotony from time to time. Well captured.

Its agreat shot Horia
Good sharpness and its on a good background as you say.
Well composed, the polarizer seems to have worked well here.

Salut Horia,

Hello Horia. This is a very well detailed and colourful picture. The background is nicely blurred and yet sympathetic to the subject. Excellent.

Dear Horia,
a wonderful combination of object and background, this lustrous shining damselfly above the waves of muddy waters.
Very well composed, a piece of art.
Thank you! My best regards,
