Fall has finally reminded me why it is my favorite season

I am happy! My brother came home today with a 2-day permit from the academy and he, despite the fact that he was tired, he indulged me and drove me to one of my favorite photographing places. Only this time, i didn't go there to shoot insects or frogs, i went for some autumn landscapes :)

Sadly we were in a big hurry and i had to virtually run alongside the stream to search for different places to shoot. (you can't ask for everything)
But in the end, after staying there about 30 minutes i was able to take several shots, among which i am quite happy with 3-4...so i would call that a total success! (i only wishes i had a wider lens with some of them)
This, of course, is one of them, and i dedicate it to him!

Hope you'll like it, too :)

Hi Horia

I agree on you that autumn of fall is a fantastic season. I just went outside with my two daughters and saw many 'winter visitors' coming in. Also magnificent colours which I can find back in your image. Your long shutter speed gives you the possibility to choose F22 which is a perfect depth of field. A very nice composition.
Compliments,
JAcob

Hello dear Horia!
At first - bravo - as I see this is another, rather non-classic picture (I mean no colourful insects, panoramic landscapes, ect.) :>
Yes, this picture cleary suggest that hot period of the year was ended... What a pitty :( I do not like autumn and winter to much - but maybe it because I was born in May when all life is "waking up"? :>
Anyway, this is a very well composed, climatic picture. I can hear the silence of this place (even if the is a stream ;>). In a little similar place I was today with my students (no stream but small river).
Picture has beautiful colours, sharpness and details. Good picture for Saturday afternoon! :)
My best regards from Lodz!
Radek

Hi Horia. i spend a lot of time wishing i had a new lens , when i could be out taking pictures.
i like this landscape with the stream. you have good colours and detail. i like the bolder with the moss. well done TFS.
Nick..

Hi Horia

A beautiful composition - the large, leaf covered rock surrounded by blurred water is lovely.

Is this a restricted reserve? - permit?

James

Wow...It sounds like a story book tale. Wonderful day in autumn with reunited siblings, having a good time and taking pictures as you went along. It sounds like part of a movie...like the movie "Legends of the Fall" If you have never seen it..please do. I can tell you would like it.

A wonderful combination of patterns and smoothness...in the water moving and the rocks ever still. You have past along a moment in your life and the way you felt that day. None could do better..

Bob

I am glad that you had such a nice autumn outing with your brother. This looks like a nice place to spend a day. My very personal opinion is that this may have been a stronger composition in a horizontal format. It would have permitted including a bit more of the stream and may have moved the tree out of the center of the frame. I (also only a personal opinion) prefer my wilderness streams to look pristine and clear which is lost with such a slow shutter speed. But you probably like that effect and I am probably in the minority. Your exposure, sharpness and depth of focus look very good.

Evelynn : )

Hello Horia
This is lovely..but to an extent I do agree with Evelynn..The tree in the bg is to central leading my eye to it and not to the wonderul leaf strewn boulder and stream. perfect dof and lovely blur in the stream showing really nice movement..All in all its a lovely scene that you have shared.
Best Regards
Paul

Hi Horia.
I like your poetical picture so much. You have reproduced this charming place perfectly. Framing is excellent as well as the crisp sharpness of all pictured objects and nice so rich colour palette. Exposure parameters are superb. Long exposure time has given nice esthetic effect. Bravo. Great art work.
Alexei.

Hi Horia, its a nice capture with good foreground details. I would agree about the tree appearing to centred, its the first thing I noticed about the composition. I would increase the colour saturation on this and dodge the highlights in stream. Well done.

Hi Horia!

Not much to say - beautifull tribute to autumn. I like long exposure time which made water very blurred. Composition with colorfull leaves and stream works very well. But for me best part of your photo is big, mossy stone, especially its part with yellow leaf. Great work my friend!

Hi dear Horia ,
great work with nice composition.beautiful colours and good sharpness.
i like it.
thanks for sharing my dear friend

Hi Horia,
i am sorry for missing this one. I have just realised that you are not in my favourites list, so i have rectified that and should now get an notifictaion when you post something!
I think you've done very well here indeed. The scattering of leaves over that boulder is well seen, and helsp tie in the foreground with the wonderful Autumnal leaves in the background. Nice long expsoure too...although i see on your exif data it says 1.6 seconds and up top it says 2 seconds...

What a fantastic picture, Horia!
What a beautiful perspective of autumn! I like a lot that collage of moss and leaves upon the rock in the middle of the stream.
Fantastic sharpness and composition with beautiful colors.

Hello Horia ! You worked fast but you worked good ! ;-) That's a beautiful fall scene with a very good composition with the big rock in the front and the small leaves in the background. The long exposure gave a nice ambiance on the whole image. Well done, thanks.

Hello Horia,
I missed this earlier but now return as I've just looked at your later shot. There are many waterfalls and streams shown with frothy water which many love to see but I expect I'm old-fashioned and like to see clear water.
I far prefer your closer look at this landscape with the mossy and leaf-decorated stone in the foregroundd. It is sharp, the colours are beautiful and I like the composition very much.
Many thanks, Ulla
