Beautiful picture and interesting subject. Focus and DOF very good. Exposure excellent with good shadow details almost all over. The only change I would do is to move the insect SLIGHTLY to the lower right corner. This way it would have room in the upper left corner to fly away. Great shot and TFS

Hi Constantin,
This is a snail-killing fly, Coremacera marginata (Sciomyzidae, Tetanocerini). Their larvae feed on snails, and this species has very interesting mating behaviour (a kind of dancing).
