[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As I told you before in my previous post, I tried to use at maximum the lenses that I have and to see if it is worth it to buy more specialized lenses. This one I took it with the Canon standard lens, I don’t remember if it was in macro mode. I tried to go as closer as possible to the subject, but it was not a museum object, but a living one. In the end, I also cropped the original picture to fill the frame only with the butterfly.
Please, don’t give me any points for this, I need only some advices.

Hallo Oana
This is really a beautiful image. It is filled with warm and sunny colour and that is not only the butterfly I am describing, but the image as a whole. The colours and markings on the wings of the butterfly are warm and remind me of a burning fire. I like the double lining alongside the edges of the wings, the 2 different patterns is striking and most artistic. I also like the hairy body that displays well on the image. The sunlight in the image brings out all these lovely details and much more. It was a great pleasure to stop by such a "joyful" image. Thanks for sharing. My best regards.

Hi Oana...

I love the way you positioned the proboscis on the flower petal and I like the overall composition. Although the image is very bright and colorful, I think the colors are a bit oversaturated... but perhaps that is just me. :)

I took the liberty of doing a WS on this one... I adjusted the gamma, the shadow/highlights, and the color saturation, as well as some sharpening... all very subtle changes.

Hello Oana,
For a standard lens in macro mode this a fine image, the Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly being sharp and taken from a fine POV.
The only negative aspect IMHO is the busy BG, which though OOF distracts from the wing patterns of the subject. If the butterfly were plain-coloured the BG would be more suitable.
I would have given you a smiley but as you requested..

Beautiful photo of this butterfly in a very good diagonal composition, great sharpness and very clear colours. The BG is a bit busy. But, as I said, a very beautiful photo.
