Hi Horia. Must have been worth getting up early to see this sunrise. I like your timing the way the sun is just starting to light up the rocks with warm light. Your POV lets us see the shapes and patterns, All with a natural look. I like the moon still in the day time sky. well taken TFS.

We both have switched from a close to a wider view... And I like this sunrise very much! You have created a very particular and pleasant atmosphere. The strange and surprising environment you present us, the low point of view and the superb perspective generate a picture that one would like to look at for a long time. It's powerful and peaceful, rich of details and plai nat the same time.

I am amazed that such extensive 'badlands' exist in Romania!
Excellent capture with superb use of light and a fine perspective.
Thanks and have a good weekend,

There truly seems or appears to be a 3 dimensional quality to this one Horia...all earth tone with a enhancement in one are by the sun...the eye is led to that portion but then again back to the 3D...super job and a good eye workout for the onlooker!

As I see finally you visited your favourite place in Romania! Congratulations! This picture (and also these presented before) has a great climat showing the enture beauty of this area. I must say that this August I was there again (only a few hours) and a lot of thing were changed there during last 4 years, I am not sure if all are good. Anyway, the place is really amazing and your photo is a proof :>
All the best from Lodz!

man, you really made a whole bunch of awesome photos in this moon like environment. I like the way you composed this photo with the odd shapes and details in the FG the brighter color mud lines higher up in the composition leading the eye to the top of the volcano and the moon. And, then the surprise of the first sun nicely positioned on the top left. The photo really reads naturally and has the wonderful pleasant feel to it.

There is a certain similarity in this landscape to some of the American Desert badland landscape. I will post one later so you can see. The only different may be the intensity of the soil colors. Here it is a softer grayish sandy colors. But of those in the sun light is really intense with golden and yellowish bronw tone. Perhaps it's really similar in color too. I also like the littl moon in the sky. Beautiful composition. well managed light considering most of the image is not in the sun light, there is still great clarity and nice texture of the geography features. Thanks Horia. Off for two weeks. See you later.

Absolutely striking. I just love the way the sunlight shines over the hills in the far distance, highlighting every thing in the background. It sure is a great landscape with beautiful detail captured of the textures on the rock formations. Is the little ball in the air a moon I am seeing? Great photography. Thanks for sharing.
