It's been a while, i know...but both the weather and other factors held me back from taking some now photos...

So i had to retreat back to the archives and dig up an older shot from a place i'd love to revisit as soon as we finally get some snow here.

I'd like to dedicate this shot to Emma, in return for her superb dedication from today and in hope to meet her next year.
Emma, i know you like mountains and great perspectives so i hope you'll find this one ok :)

Hope you'll like it and thanks for visiting.

Hello Horia,
neighbours today, it's nice, old friend.
I'm not a landscapes photographer but I know how a good landscape picture should look, it should look like this.
I like the composition with the good deep and I also like the exposure and light here.
Well done.
Have a great WE,

Dear Horia!

It's a pleasure to see you back, and it's also a pleasure to discover this picture. I like it very much. The view on this winterly landscape is beautiful, and I particularly like the delicatness of the sky with the soft pastel tones. The atmosphere reflected is serene and peaceful, highlighted by the simplicity of the subject as well as of the composition.

Kind regards

Hi Horia,
this view is amazing, the snowy mountains and the wonderful light in the back. A pretty place - and also very cold as it seems ;-)
Thanks, I'm happy to see you again here, greetings

hello Horia

beautiful landscape photo of these GREAT mountains,
with fine POV and specially the very wide framing,
i love the contrast beetween the cold and warm colour tones,

Dear Horia,
I had to get help from Google Earth to orientate myself and appreciate - where this beautiful scenery is found - east-south-east of Budapest...

How high are these mountains / where you stood, when you photographed this unusual scenery?

And what causes the dark stripes? At first view - I thought - they were fire breaks; but now I realise they are not!

This image reminds me of the Bayeux Tapestry (a.d.1476), where the landscape is outlined with broad coarse lines...

I can see the related souls of you and Emma having looked at her landscapes a few days ago!

These dark lines are capturing the eye - and only reluctantly can one continue to the background - where especially in the right hand corner one does not quite know, where the mountains end and the dark sky starts...

A captivating image, and to look at it at will, I add it to my favorites as well as yourself.

Enjoy the rest of your week-end,
Best wishes and Kind Regards

PS If you go skiing, where are you heading? This landscape does not appear to have enough space between the trees...

Hi Horia,
This is another very nice winter scene from the beautiful mountains of your homeland, Love the winter mood, the golden warm light in the horizon, give just a little hint of warm, at least to this image. Great depth with successive layer of hills and mountain range. My complements,

Hi Horia,
What really makes this photo special is the natural outline of the mountains by the trees on top of it. It is as if somebody took a pencil and draw lines around them. The effect captures the eye for a long time and then slowly releases it to go onward valley and toward the soft yellow sky. I can imagine you want to revisit this are and I am sure that it won't be long that you will. I also like the touch of green in the FG.

Hallo Horia
Is the Creation and nature not amazing? Your image just proof once more that we have so much to be thankfull for, and to have the opportunity to be surrounded with the beauty of it all. To look at these rock formations covered with snow is just incredible. The stroke of golden sunlight in the far distance is beautiful. Thanking you kindly for sharing this lovely image as part of a dedication to Emma. Kind regards

Hi Horia

first of all Happy New Year...

secondly, I wasn't able to get by again until today, so was rather surprised to find a shot dedicated to myself. thank you.

i really love the way the trees outline the mouuntain slopes and ridges, something that can easily be lost in the mountains. I also love the delicate light in this shot with the added touch of colour in the setting sun. This is so very typical of the weather in the mountains and you have shown it beautifully.

thank you and TFS

PS I have just booked my next holiday to the mountains - 6 weeks and counting!
