[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Coccothraustes coccothraustes/Grosbeak or Hawfinch

Hawfinches are very elusive birds, spending much of their time in the tops of trees and disappearing when humans are still some distance away. To find them you have to learn their ticking calls, know where to look and be able to approach without alarming them. As finches go, this is a real monster, almost as big as Redwing, and with a huge bill capable of cracking cherry stones. They are basically orangey-brown in plumage with one massive white wing bar and a white tip to the tail. The bill is grey-black in summer, horn-coloured in winter.

A dark and a misty day, and for this I'm sorry because this is my first time that I can get so close to this Grosbeak, and I couldn't get a better photo.

E cam inghetata de frig pasarea asta.O poza interesanta.
Multe salutari si Craciun Fericit tie si celor dragi ai tai.Alin.

Sculaţi, gazde, nu dormiţi,
Vremea e să vă treziţi.
Casa să vi-o aranjaţi,
Flori de măr,
Şi masa s-o Óncărcaţi
Flori de măr.

Că umblăm şi colindăm
La mulţi ani să vă urăm,
Să trăiţi, să-ntineriţi,
Flori de măr,
Pentru mulţi ani fericiţi,
Flori de măr.

Craciun fericit!
