Parang Mountains (ROMANIA) are one of the highest mountain ridges in Romania and Southern Carpathians, with its highest peak Parangu Mare reaching 2,519 m.

The Parang mountains are located in the south-western part of the Central-Meridional Carpathians. They are the tallest mountains from the local Parang-Cindrel mountain group and the second largest mountains in the Romanian Carpathians after the Făgăraș Mountains.

In close connection with the relief characteristics of the Parang mountains, the vegetation is clearly shaped into 3 layers. The first layer is the broadleaf forest, which starts from the bottom of the mountains and goes as high as 1200m (northern slope) and 1400m (southern slope). They are made up of pedunculate oak, european hornbeam, silver birch and, the most common, but mostly spread on the souther slope, the European beech.

Hi Marius, beautiful memory of your archive of the August 2015. Beautiful view of these mountains and a very lucky and rich background made by these fantastic clouds, looks like a painting,i like it! Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Marius,
Very nice isolation of those trees from BG clouds. Very nice view and well exposure on white clouds. Like the way you used plants, clouds and mountain nicely in frame. Bit space in foreground helped here to get such eye catching view.
Thanks for sharing,

Hello Marius,
What an eye catching scene from the Parang Mountain region of Romania. Perfectly composed using the rule of thirds. I like the way the terrain slants at a 45 degree angle down hill from right to left. The trees all line up at mid frame and then the lovely clouds gracefully make up the BG.
Well saturated colors and tac sharp focus allows us to enjoy the view in fine detail.
Well done!!
