WHISKERED TERN (Chlidonias hybrida) - DANUBE DELTA
IN THE WORKSHOP I POST ANOTHER BIRD WITH HIS EGS.
This species breeds in colonies on inland marshes, sometimes amongst black-headed gulls, which provide some protection.
The tropical forms are resident, but European and Asian birds winter south to Africa and the Indian Subcontinent.
The whiskered tern eats small fish, amphibians, insects and crustaceans. |

Hi Marius
Great moment, not a common shot despite the wings are touching the edge.
Sharp details and neat background.

Hi Marius, wonderful capture in flight of this tern, the sharpness is wonderful and the wings position too, well done!Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano
Hello Marius,
I know how tough this is to capture a flying Gull. At least here it was hovering on the water surface. Excellent details and exposure.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice weekend,
Srikumar
