Hi Horia!

Sure, it is common on TN, but very nice. I like POV and dynamic composition very much. Butterfly placed upside down looks very good. Blue spot on green BG, very arty work my friend!

This is a lovely presentation of the common blue.

I don’t believe you when you say it “really looks very much like a lot of other pictures you've seen here on TN”. Each photo is unique in its own way and just because we have seen a number of photos of the common blue it does not mean that yours are less interesting or beautiful. To the contrary. This is an excellent composition and POV. The colours are simply great, the details are as sharp as can be, the BG is a wow, and the exposure was spot-on.

This is my favourite butterfly, Horia, so your image has given me much delight.
The blue coloration on the wings is well saturated and rich and looks lovely. Vertical orientation is well chosen, considering the upside-down position of the butterfly on the stick.
Great DOF, sharp focus and a pleasant overall composition.
Summer will take its own time in coming; in the meanwhile, the contents of your rich archive should suffice to keep TN community happy with your high quality work.

Yes, we saw this specie many times but I never get bored of them because I think that they are wonderful and every time I see them, it is a delight for my eyes :) Composition, POV, details, exposure, lightning, BG everything is so nice in this picture. Hmm,
This is one of the best pictures of a butterfly i have seen. The composition is daringly dynamic!!. The position of the butterfly , the stick and the diffused BG makes it a masterpeice. The colors are rich and the exposure is spot on!.
Regarding the equipment, i always promote the thought that people should know their equipment well and should have technique of exploiting what they have. Having a great equipment alone does not yeild you the best results :-)
Anyways thanks for your comments on my pictures and your pictures also inspire me!

I agree with you, in spite of the very mild winter it does seem very long - and in Sweden very dark! And therefore a beautiful Blue butterfly from you is great to see! Your capture is excellent, very sharp and in beautiful colour. Interesting shadows cast on the wings bring out the blue even more. I love the composition!

Muy bonita composición donde la mariposa destaca por su agudeza, colorido y foco sobre un difuso y bien post procesado fondo.
La iluminación es apropiada incluso sobre las pequeñas áreas blancas del insecto con gran armonía entre el punto de vista captado y el encuadre elegido.

Very beautiful composition where the butterfly highlights for your sharpness, colors and focus on a diffuse and well post processed bottom.
The illumination is appropriate even on the small white areas of the insect with great harmony between the captured point of view and the elected framing. V

the white line along the edges of the wings enhances the beauty of the butterflies. The tones of the background too.

I was going to comment on your snake but in your gallery my eye kept getting dragged to this shot. I may be craving colour now it is winter and the colours here are vibrant and saturated with light. Wonderful composition and great DOF. Stunning details on the butterfly. This is just very beautiful

Hello Horia,
very well balanced composition with much tension.
Lovely, typical pose head down. Besides a few strangely blurred dark parts in the centre of wings all details of the charming little blue are fine and precise, and the colours are clear and well saturated, with powerful, pleasant contrast of "English Red" (the plant) and "Cerulean Blue" in front of a nicely rhythmic green background.

Hi Horia,
I can't say much more than everybody else already has, a beautiful image. Even though the Butterfly (Buttorfleoge in old English) is technically upside down it's just a wonderful image. Technically outstanding, no nits to pick as there aren't any :-) Excellent work my friend and it deserves all the praise it has received.
