Beautiful large metallic insect

Order: Coleoptera
Family: Cerambycidae
Genus: Aromia
Species: A. moschata

The musk beetle (Aromia moschata) is a species of longhorn beetle with a somewhat coppery tint. It is native to Europe and is usually found on leaves, especially those of the willow tree. The antennae are often as long, if not longer than the entire head and body length. Its name comes from the musky smell it emits.

Ciao Tanja,

Hi Tanja!
I agree with Marcello - this is a Aromia moschata beetle (Cerambycidae). Species which is strictly connected with willow species (Salix) where its larvae live.
Nice photo of very beautiful species :)
My best regards and withes from Lodz,

Hi Tanja,
You really caught this insect in all its splendour.
I like the close approach and stunning details got on its metallic core.
The antennas are so large in proportion and well defined.
Congratulations and thanks to post it.
My best regards,

Hello Tanja,

Perfect shot of this beautiful beetle. Light is well managed. Composition and focus are good. Beautiful colours also.
Well done,
