[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The False Grayling (Arethusana arethusa) is a butterfly of the family Satyridae.

The species can be found in Central Europe, Southern Europe, North Africa and Anatolia.

The length of the forewings is 21–25 mm,
wingspan is about 50 mm.

This is a very rare guest on TN !

In Serbia it is possible to see it in a relatively short time , flies from mid July to September. Flies in one generation .

It is similar to Maniola jurtina but its wings are edged with gray serrated line that Maniola doesn't have !

Hi Miro, another very rare specie, rare on TN and never seen in my country.Very good point of view to see the design of the underwing.I don't understand wht you used an ISO 1600, this creates a lot of noise in the background and does losing detail in the picture, very clear too as the previous Dryas.Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Miroslav,
A beautiful butterfly for sure, and one I'm not familiar with. Composition and focus is very good, but I think it needs a tad more contrast. Hope you don't mind, but I wanted to try a WS.

Hi Miroslav.
