That is a really cute pose.
She reminds me of a geisha hiding behind her fan.
The light is wonderful, really bringing out the sharp details against the dark BG.
Excellent focus and depth of field.

Im a sucker for mantid photos but you have done a really nice job here. The lighting is perfect as it appears the mantid is reacting to it. Well composed and well seen shot.

An excellent shot on this Praying Mantis. I love the pose that makes her look like she is being a little coy here. Nice fill flash exposure has the color and detail looking very good. Nice dark backround shows the mantid well.
