A superb portrait of a flowering Ophrys scolopax, the skillful use of you camera providing excellent sharpness and DOF. The composition showing two aspects of the flowers is also excellent against the natural blurred BG.

Hi Ferran,
This is a beauty. I have only seen it with pinkish sepal color. As in your notes - my Orchid Encyclopedia says - from the side, the extended column looks like a bird's head. It indeed does!
You must have been flat on your stomach to get this view (all discomfort accepted for orchids! Isn't it?)

I see the slow speed you used - how do you keep the camera so still in order to get perfect details?

Everything is just perfect, the orchids, the natural colors, the layout. You even have a bud in the top of the photo (near 12 o'clock).
Do you carry with you a bottle of water for the water drops? (Just kidding!)

Antequerra is a beautiful place - however, I am surprised - it is not too dry there for ground orchids.

Overall - the photographic technique is just perfect - same as you display in all your photos.

una splendida macro di Ophrys scolopax in cui si vedono molto bene tutte le caratteristiche di questa bellissima orchidea, ottima nitidezza e colori molto belli e naturali, le goocce di pioggia danno un ulteriore tocco di bellezza a questa magnifica composizione.
